Nathan’s teaching approach is very hands-on, as he believes in learning by doing. He will guide you through technical challenges, provide artistic inspiration, and lead by example in approaching locals for great portraits. You'll be amazed at the striking and authentic images you'll be able to capture.
We also offer Lightroom workshops during our tours, where we cover workflow management and picture processing. We'll show you the tools to take your travel photography to the next level and provide tips on saving your pictures for various outputs like social media, e-books, and printing.
If this is your first tour with us, you can also join Nathan’s pre-tour workshop, designed to equip you with essential skills for travel photography. Covering technical competence, creative observation, and ethical responsibility with a focus on people and culture, this workshop is perfect if you’re new to travel photography or need a refresher. The workshop runs on the first day of the tour from around 1-5pm. Enhance your photography skills and capture breathtaking moments to treasure forever. Where we stay.
-
Luxury rooms
Nathan has the advantage of having run tours in Cambodia since 2006. During that time, he has seen a quantum improvement in tourist infrastructure, particularly in the quality of hotels around the country. Constantly curious about new openings (and occasionally asked to photograph them for magazines and websites), Nathan has done his due diligence in securing excellent accommodation on this tour.
-
Tropical pools
Nathan has gone out of his way to find safe, clean and comfortable high-standard hotels and likes to add a dash of excitement in choices that reflect something of the culture and charm of Cambodia. Even in the more remote areas, we are now in a position to offer you very comfortable hotels with modern amenities that are sure to exceed your expectations.
-
Fine dining
Cambodia has excellent food. Combining Indian and Thai influences, it's less spicy than either but packed with the same flavours. With salads, spring rolls, soups, curries, and a national dish of fried beef in gravy with a lime, salt and pepper dip, there’s usually something for everyone. We delight in showing you some of Cambodia's top restaurants when in the big cities, which might also have French influences.

Nathan finds a way to facilitate a seamless entry into his world, his lens is a portal into Cambodia's sheer nature and its unforgettable people. Everyone learned a ton: he manages to cater to a wide range of photography expertise. It's easy to overlook what goes into having perfect shooting conditions - no crowds, ideal lighting, unique access to multiple temples and "secret places", while at the same time nailing down logistics and backup plans. And, of course, everyone left with amazing photos! One of the most memorable experiences I've ever had.
