Known as the Kingdom of Lo until 2008, Mustang means "fertile plain" and is a vast and arid valley, distinguished by eroded canyons, vividly coloured stratified rock formations and barren high-altitude deserts. Our second photo tour to the region follows closely on the heels of our initial research tour, so Nathan will be somewhat more familiar with the area and we will have time to make some tweaks to the itinerary. Photographic opportunities will abound on this tour – ancient culture, people, monasteries, and spectacular landscapes with the majestic backdrop of the Himalayan mountains. We will also explore ancient villages, caves and mule trails. This tour is better suited to return customers or advanced photographers. Read more here.
